Montcalmès “Le M” 2021 is a confidential, highly meticulous cuvée of pure Mourvèdre: from noble terroirs on clay-limestone, lacustrine limestone and rolled pebble soils, facing south and north-west in Puéchabon and Aniane, meticulously vinified and aged, it offers a refined taste experience, balanced between verticality and silky tannins.

Montcalmès Le M 2021 is dark and intense, with a rich nose of black fruits, sweet spices and smoky notes. On the palate, it seduces with its elegant structure, silky tannins and remarkable freshness. The finish is long and taut, with a slight, elegant bitterness.

The domain

Situated on 22 ha on the municipalities of Puéchabon, Aniane, St-Jean de Fos and St-Saturnin of Lucian, the Domain of Montcalmès is managed by Frédéric Pourtalié with her sister Muriel. He pulls his name of the hamlet of Montcalmès. This family exploitation produces are first red in 1999. The Domain produces red wines in naming Terrasses of Larzac and white wines in Coteaux du Languedoc.
