L'Altru Biancu, which means the other white, allows Yves Leccia to highlight the Biancu Gentile, an indigenous grape long forgotten in Corsica. This vintage is very expressive through its notes of white flowers and honey. We love it especially for its minerality and freshness in the mouth. A greedy and gouleyant white to taste urgently!
L'Altru Biancu is part of the "Cuvées Patrimoniales" range of the domaine. After spending 6 months in stainless steel vats on fine lees, the strong point of this vintage remains its authenticity. A safe bet among the whites of Corsica.

The domain
Domaine Yves Leccia is located on the island of beauty, in Poghju d’Oletta and is part of the Patrimonio appellation. Leccia, located at the gates of the Mediterranean, has a clay-limestone terroir in the hills of E Croce and Partinelone.
Coming from a large family of winemakers, Yves Leccia naturally turned to oenology for his studies. In 1980, he graduated and spent a few years working in the family field. Today, Lisandru and Annette Leccia, the son and sister of Yves, manage the 13 ha vineyard near the Gulf of Saint-Florent. In 2004, Yves Leccia left the family estate to create his own domain: Domaine Yves Leccia, in collaboration with his wife Sandrine. He is also president of AVA Corsica and of the Scientific and Technical Wine Committee.
The Leccia vineyard is followed closely, in a perfect balance tradition and modernity that perpetuates itself from generation to generation. The work of the vine is mainly focused on respect for the environment and minimal mechanisation. Bottling is done directly at the estate, followed by a breeding of 6 to 18 months depending on the cuvées. The vineyards of the estate Yves Leccia are traditionally worked, while being ploughed and mechanically paved. Thus, Yves Leccia was able to avoid the use of herbicides and allowed to pass his vineyard into organic farming certified Ecocert.
Domaine Yves Leccia offers 2 ranges: the first in AOC Wine Corse Patrimonio in the 3 colors, as well as an excellent Muscat du Cap Corse with aromas of cedrat. The YL cuvées from the other range are made of IGP Ile de Beauté. It was in 2011 that Yves Leccia and his wife released their 1st Biancu Gentile, which today is no other than L’Altru Biancu. The cuvées Biancu Marinu and O Bà! came out shortly afterwards. The bet is rather successful for Yves Leccia Patrimonio wines since these wines are all fine and fresh. On the other hand, the red wines are fleshy and possess more bodies.

This red Patrimonio by Yves Leccia promises notes of ripe red and black fruits, associated with a rather vegetal aspect with liquorice and aromatic herbs. In mouth, it is an explosion of red fruits however it remains structured with melted tannins. The E Croce vintage has a good storage potential, do not hesitate to leave it in the cellar for a few years!
Yves Leccia IGP Ile de Beauté YL Red offers a gourmet nose with aromas of red fruits, raspberry, cherry and liquorice. In mouth, this Corsican red seduces by its suppleness and its beautiful length. The YL range is the signature of the domaine, it thus restores the soil footprint of Partinelone. To discover absolutely!
The vintage YL IGP Ile de Beauté White by Yves Leccia is gourmet but also precise. Its floral and vegetal nose transports us to notes of acacia and lemon. A white Corsican with a good potential of guard who turns to freshness and finesse for our greatest pleasure!
Biancu Marinu white wine from Domaine Yves Leccia conveys pleasant aromas of fresh grapes. Both expressive and fresh, the nose is the perfect representative of this blend of Muscat and Vermentino. On the palate, the texture is suave and the fruity aromas of Muscat are quite marked. However, we find the delicacy and vivacity of Vermentino. A duet that...
