Domaine Yves Leccia produces an excellent sweet white wine in AOC Muscat du Cap Corse. In the nose, delicate aromas of white flowers, cedar, spices and honey are present. This wine is bewitching and very greedy in the mouth because it has character despite its sweetness. We also find freshness, which gives it a beautiful balance and persistence in the final.

Born on the E Croce terroir, this cuvée of Muscat du Cap Corse has enjoyed a beautiful sunshine and comes from the selection of the best plots of this unique place. It thus has a strong local footprint, which brings precision and a hint of minerality to these great sweet Corsican wines. A must-have in your cellar...

The domain

Domaine Yves Leccia is located in Corsica, in Poghju d'Oletta and is part of the Patrimonio appellation. Leccia vineyard, located at the gateway to the Mediterranean, has a clay-limestone terroir in hillsides at E Croce and Partinelone. From a large family of winemakers, Yves Leccia naturally turns to oenology for his studies. In 1980, he graduated and devoted himself for a few years to the family domaine. In 2004, Yves Leccia left the family vineyard to create his own domaine: Domaine Yves Leccia, in collaboration with his wife Sandrine.
Leccia vineyard is closely followed, in a perfect balance between tradition and modernity that continues from generation to generation. The work of the vineyard is mainly based on respect for the environment and minimal mechanization. Thus, Yves Leccia was able to avoid the use of herbicides and allowed to pass his vineyard in organic farming certified Ecocert. Domaine Yves Leccia offers 2 ranges: the first in AOC Patrimonio in 3 colors, as well as an excellent Muscat du Cap Corse with aromas of cedrat. The YL vintages of the other range are in Vin de Pays. The challenge is rather successful for Yves Leccia Patrimonio wines since these wines are all fine and fresh. On the other hand, the red Pettale is fleshy and has more body.
