Chateau Saint Julien covers 427 hectares including 30 ha of vines. Château Saint Julien produces high-quality wines that respect terroirs and typicities. At the birth of this estate, the goal of the Garrassin family was to make it one of the wine-growing emblems of the Var Centre.

DOMAINE SAINT JULIEN, A FAMILY STRUCTURE

Domaine Saint Julien was founded in 1989 by Maurice Garrassin who was immediately seduced by the beauty of the places. The Garrassin family has been operating this vineyard since 1989 and has completely renovated the Domaine. Since 2001, the Norbert and Geneviève children continue the family tradition and are the head of the Château Saint Julien. The 3 rd generation, Claire, also works at the Domaine since she takes care of the technical part both at the vine and at the chai. She also supervises the entire commercial part, assisted since 2016 by Lucas, the other grandson, who takes care of the arboriculture on the property. You will understand, at Château Saint Julien, we work as a family!

THE SECRETS OF THE PRODUCTION OF ST JULIEN WINE

Located in the heart of the Var, in the small town of La Celle, Domaine Saint Julien enjoys a Mediterranean climate ideal for viticulture. The philosophy adopted at Domaine Saint Julien is the following: “the quality of wines depends on respect for the environment and traditional know-how”, a domain that works the vineyard with passion according to ancestral methods combined with new know-how and high quality modern material. The wines are made in a cellar built on the remains of an old sheepfold dating from the 17th century and are bred in a cellar half buried, where the barrels dominate in order to produce great Saint Julien wines.

SAINT JULIEN WINES OF CHARACTER

We find on the property of Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache Blanc, Rolle, Syrah and Grenache Noir. 95 % of Château Saint Julien’s production is located in the Coteaux Varois appellation on an argilo-calcary terroir that produces wines of character. The white wines of Domaine Saint Julien are a wise blend of richness, aromatic complexity and freshness where the aromas of citrus fruits and white flowers are fully expressed, while Saint Julien rosés wines offer notes of exotic fruits, red fruits and florals. Generosity and liveliness are essential. As for the red wines of Domaine Saint Julien, they are more oriented towards aromas of garrigue, sweet spices and well ripe or candied fruits.
