The Domaine Saparale is located in the Ortolo valley, between Sartène and Bonifacio. Between sea and mountain, the exceptional terroir of which it benefits gives birth to fine and racy Saparale wines, they are also very appreciated. Saparale is known as one of the most famous wine estate of Corsica.
Domaine Saparale was created in the middle of the 19th century by Philippe de Rocca Serra, a lawyer and financial advisor who travelled extensively in Africa. He undertook the construction of a vast property and planted a hundred hectares of vines, mainly Vermentino and Sciaccarello. After a meteoric ascent and a gold medal in the 1900s, the Saparale vineyard was ravaged by phylloxera. It was bought back in 1995 by Philippe Farinelli who made every effort to revive Domaine de Saparale.
Domaine Saparale offers four main ranges, first of all the Domaine Saparale range, available in three colors it has a nice drinkability, freshness and Sartenaise typicity. The Casteddu range, also available in all three colours, is also the most elegant because it comes from plots with low yields. They are also aged wines aged in oak barrels. Finally, there are two more confidential Saparale ranges: Natura, offering sulfur-free cuvées and Oenoteca, offering micro-cuvées.
