Whisky Aberlour 12 Years Non Chill-Filtered

Founded in 1879 in the heart of Speyside, Aberlour Distillery draws its water from the famous St Drostan’s Well, renowned for its purity. This single malt is made exclusively from malted barley and distilled in the distillery’s traditional copper stills.

It undergoes a 12-year double maturation in American bourbon casks and Oloroso sherry casks, offering a remarkable balance between fruity freshness, richness and depth. Unlike the classic version, this edition is non-chill-filtered, which preserves all the aromatic compounds and results in a naturally richer texture.

The nose opens with generous aromas of baked apple, pear, honey and vanilla, quickly enriched by notes of raisins, candied fruit and orange peel. The influence of the sherry also brings nuances of milk chocolate, cinnamon and toasted dried fruit.

On the palate, the attack is rich and enveloping. The texture, which is particularly silky thanks to the absence of cold filtration, reveals flavours of caramel, hazelnut, ripe fruit and mild spices. The oaky notes remain perfectly integrated and the long, warm finish reveals hints of cocoa, nuts and candied fruit.
