WHAT IS PRODUCED AT CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE

The AOC Chateauneuf du Pape is the flagship of the wine heritage of the South Rhone Valley and one of the greatest French wines. Black Grenache remains the dominant grape variety for Chateauneuf du Pape reds with powerful, framed and balanced characters that allow to guess aromas of ripe fruit (cassis, blackberries, spices). White Grenache, Clairette, Bourboulenc and Roussanne are the grape varieties for the confidential Chateauneuf du Pape White, which is not very acidic or even soft, with very rich aromas of fruit and flowers. In all, 13 grape varieties are allowed to blend the wines of Chateauneuf du Pape.
