Saumur is situated in the sub-region Saumurois. AOC Saumur arise mainly from Chenin (80 %) and only two vines are authorized in 20 %: the Chardonnay and the Sauvignon. Wines of Saumur are characterized by an aromatic freshness with aromas of apple and broom with a mineral point.
