The wine of Savoie, is a wine of protected designation of origin the area of production of which extends over several departments: Ain, Isère, Savoie and Haute-Savoie. The paradox of this naming lives in the fact that we develop over 2200 ha (that is less than a naming as Châteauneuf-du-Pape) not less than 23 vines among which unique in the world 7! For red wines, the main vines are Gamay and Mondeuse, for the white wines, the most used vines are Jacquère, Mondeuse and the Altesse.
