The sommelier info
Created by the Tessendier family, who are also renowned for their expertise in the world of spirits, the Arlett range showcases French whiskies crafted with precision and matured in various types of casks to explore the full richness of the wood’s influences.
The nose opens with aromas of vanilla, ripe pear and honey, quickly enriched by notes of sandalwood, incense, coconut and sweet spices – the characteristic hallmarks of Mizunara oak. Hints of candied citrus and dried fruit round off this bouquet of great finesse.
On the palate, the attack is round and silky. Flavours of malted barley, light caramel and vanilla gradually evolve into notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, precious wood and coconut. The finish is long, elegant and delicately spiced, leaving a pleasant sensation of freshness.
Made exclusively from malted barley, this single malt is carefully distilled to preserve the purity and finesse of its aromas. After an initial maturation in oak casks, the whisky is finished in Mizunara casks, a particularly rare Japanese wood whose porosity encourages subtle interactions between the spirit and the cask.
