Henri Milan took over the family domain in 1987 which existed since 1956 in Saint Rémy de Provence. The soil of this domaine is particular: blue marls on calcareous stones. His encounter with Claude Bourguignon helped him built his philosophy based on extreme organic farming and biodynamic wine growing. The key word of the domaine is the respect for the wine and the vine and it really shows when you drink sulfite free wines.
In 1973, Domaine Milan acquired a winery and new equipment for the creation of its vintages. Henri Milan, son of Robert Milan, took over the family estate in 1986 which had existed since 1956 in the commune of Saint Rémy de Provence. In 2000, the first Milan wine was released without metablisulfite or sodium. In 2007, Henri Milan decided to volunteer from A.O.C Baux de Provence. The 2006 vintage will be the last year in A.O.C. All the wines will then be produced in Vin de Table appellation, and from 2009, in Vin de France. In 2011, the plantations at Domaine Henri Milan were completed.
