DOMAINE DES CHESNAIES
Domaine des Chesnaies is located on 4 communes of the appellation Bourgueil and covers 44 hectares. Domaine Lamé Delisle Boucard made itself known in the 1940s, making the bottling and sale of their vintage themselves, a feat at that time.
DOMAINE DES CHESNAIES, A GREAT FAMILY HISTORY
Created in 1869 by Pierre Guyot, it is the 5th generation of the Lamé Delisle Boucard family that today exploits the Domaine des Chesnaies. First in collaboration with merchants as wanted at the time and gradually with the family, the farm developed to fly on its own wings by imposing its already progressive vision for the time: Lucien Lamé and Yvonne Delisle decided to give their two names to this family business. After numerous awards, the change from 13 to 28 hectares in 30 years and numerous works at Domaine les Chesnaies in 1974, the team expanded and now produces great Bourgueil wines.
DELISLE BOUCARD BLADE ESTATE IN THE LOIRE VALLEY
Located in the small village of Ingrandes de Touraine, the Domaine des Chesnaies grows about twenty hectares on three distinct terroirs in several different municipalities. Gravels offer a rather fruity and greedy profile because they are soils that imprison the heat very quickly. The argilo-siliciious terroir produces wines with a marked fruitiness, almost confit, while the clay-limestone plots are the basis of the cellar wines of Domaine les Chesnaies. Facing south, these great terroirs offer a very elegant and racy version of Cabernet Franc, a grape variety king of Bourgueil. Cabernet Sauvignon is also cultivated to a lesser extent at Domaine Lamé Delisle Boucard.
GREAT WINES OF LAME DELISLE BOUCARD BOURGUEIL
Domaine des Chesnaies Bourgueil produces several ranges of red and rosé wines, the rosés are both quiet with the cuvée La Romantique and sparkling with the Cremant de Loire. Both are expressive, refreshing and have a nice aromatic weft. The selection of red wines begins with the cuvée des Chesnaies, also known as Déchaînée, cuvée Vieilles Vignes, cuvée Prestige, an excellent value for money from the most beautiful plots and finally the parcellaires, Martinière and Brunetières. Each cuvée from Domaine des Chesnaies adapts and is available at daily or more festive moments of consumption.
