Shipping informations

Many know the Clos des Papes elaborated by Paul Avril, however he also produces his "Petit Vin d'Avril" from declassified vines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape which classify it as a Vin de France. This does not detract from this red wine which combines spices, red fruits, structure and greed. A nice roundness and persistence in the mouth, to be kept for a few years or to be consumed immediately!

The sommelier info

Petit Vin d'Avril is composed of Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Syrah and Mourvèdre. This blend is composed of two thirds of the 2019 harvest, the last third is from the previous year and has already been aged in tuns for 1 year.

It is a wine on the fruit, which can still be kept at least 5 years in the cellar. Paul Avril has again elaborated wonders on these fabulous Rhone terroirs.

This wine is served with

Petit Vin d’Avril will go very well from the aperitif and a nice piece of meat, grilled, roasted or why not matured. This wine will adapt to a slightly spicy cuisine that will recall its aromas, just as its fruity character will sublimate your seasonal vegetables and raw vegetable starters. Serve at 16-18°C, it is advisable to open the wine so that it can air out at least 30 minutes before serving.
