Villa Madeleine Bandol Red places Mourvèdre at the heart of a blend sourced from several Bandol terroirs, combining deep clay, limestone scree and cooler sites influenced by Mediterranean sea breezes. Aged for 20 months in large oak foudres followed by several months in inert vats, it develops impressive depth and precision, with ripe tannins softened by Grenache and Cinsault. Blackberry, blueberry and red fruit mingle with thyme, lavender, black olive and leather, leading to a rich yet fresh palate with an appealing saline finish.

This Bandol already benefits from several years of bottle age while still having plenty of evolution ahead. Its high proportion of Mourvèdre provides the expected depth, yet its greatest strength lies in the balance between maturity, fine tannins and Mediterranean freshness: a bottle equally suited to fine dining or further cellaring.
