The sommelier info
Château L’Évêché is part of an ambitious project aimed at revealing the full richness of a terroir characterised by deep gravel mixed with iron-rich clay. The estate’s distinctive feature lies in its use of a wide range of Bordeaux grape varieties, enabling the creation of wines of great complexity. Meticulous work in the vineyard and extended ageing, tailored to each vintage, reflect a constant quest for balance between power and elegance. This vintage perfectly illustrates this philosophy, with a structured, deep wine designed to evolve over time.
The nose is intensely expressive, with notes of ripe black fruit, spices and subtle mineral undertones, whilst the palate, full-bodied and structured, reveals velvety tannins, lovely density and remarkable freshness, offering a long, harmonious finish.
