Born from the ancient alluvial soils of the Dordogne, Château La Chapelle Lescours embodies an elegant and approachable vision of Saint-Émilion, shaped by mature vines and meticulous winemaking designed to bring out the delicacy of the fruit and the finesse of the tannins. Only 23,111 bottles were produced for this exceptional vintage, a Grand Cru that you can enjoy right now.

The sommelier info

On these lands shaped by the ancient course of the Dordogne, the vines draw nourishment from sandy-gravelly soils that favour finesse over power. Here, every technical decision is aimed at preserving the purest expression of the fruit, with gentle vinification and carefully controlled ageing. This approach gives rise to a sincere, accessible and harmonious wine, which reflects both its terroir and the desire to offer a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru focused on pleasure and balance.

The nose of this Chateau La Chapelle Lescours reveals refined aromas of red and black fruits mingled with spicy and slightly minty notes, whilst the palate charms with its supple texture, natural balance and delicately integrated tannins, offering a sensation of freshness and an elegant, lingering finish.

The domain

In the Middle Ages, the Seigneury of Lescours, which possessed the surrounding vines until AUSONE, reconstructed its Castle and its private Chapel, here, at the edge of the Dordogne, on this croup overhanging the former port of Saint-Emilion and saint Sulpice de Faleyrens’s village. Today, in the said place " The Chapel Lescours ", on these 4,20 hectares of vineyards, selected us the most rocky acres to create our vintage of the Château L’Evêché palace and so pay tribute in this very former cultural heritage.
