Domaine Alain Graillot is located in the middle of "Crozes-Hermitage", in the village of Pont de l'Isère few miles south of Tain l'Hermitage. The winery is right in the middle of the vines field in a place called the Green Oaks. Alain Graillot is certainly the most reliable winemaker of this region. The soil made of pebbles which make his Crozes Hermitage one of the finest. The great part is that they are very plaisant to drink in their youth but they also age very well. Antoine et Maxime, Alain's sons, are in charge of the winemaking.
Domaine Graillot covers about twenty hectares, the first vines were planted in the 1960s while the property belonged to a black foot arrived in France recently. This man cultivated and vinified his wine, but the Delas trade house was in charge of the breeding and bottling.
Alain Graillot is one of the organic precursors in Crozes Hermitage with Laurent Combier. The cultivation methods practiced at Domaine Alain Graillot are traditional and aim to obtain low yields. Indeed, herbicides are not allowed, sandy and stony soils are worked with the plough and the harvest is carried out manually to achieve the best Alain Graillot wine possible.
