The domain
Domaine de l Arlot extends over 14 hectares near Nuits Saint Georges and consists of a majority of old vines. The policy of Arlot consists in acting only when necessary in the elaboration of its great wines of Burgundy.
The Arlot origins date back to the end of the 18th century, when Jean-Charles Vienot had the walls of the Clos de l Arlot built. The property was sold and expanded in 1891 with the purchase of the Clos du Chapeau and the Clos des Forêts Saint-Georges. AXA Millésimes has owned the Domaine since 1987 and acquired two exceptional plots in Vosne Romanée: Romanée Saint Vivant Grand Cru and Vosne Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots. The management of the domaine is ensured by Christian Seely while the technical direction was transmitted to Géraldine Godot from 2014.
Today, Domaine de l Arlot produces famous wines on the terroir of Vosne Romanée. Arlot also produces Nuits Saint Georges, Hautes-Côtes de Nuits and Cote de Nuits Villages of a depth and elegance rare. Clos du Chapeau Red, Le Mont White and La Gerbotte White offer exceptional fruity and floral aromas. The production of Grands Crus and Premiers Crus, while complex and delicate, perfectly reflects the identity of the Arlot vineyard, especially with the Mont des Oiseaux.
