DOMAINE DE LA DUCQUERIE, FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION

Domaine de la Ducquerie is a family estate created in 1910, which takes its name from the home of origin, where the first generations lived. In fact, no less than 6 generations have succeeded each other since the 1900s on this family farm, driven by the passion of viticulture. The vineyard developed mainly after the war in the 1950s, today the Cailleau family, in particular Cyril and Céline, produces authentic and fruity wines on the lands of La Ducquerie. Assisted by 4 employees, this is a real teamwork in this Domaine la Ducquerie which has strong human values.

LA DUCQUERIE, THE MEN AT THE HEART OF BIODIVERSITE

The motto of Domaine de la Ducquerie has not changed since its beginnings with the vine: “The love of wine in the service of men”. Ducquerie works in accordance with HVE label practices, i.e. High Environmental Value, which consists of limiting the addition of inputs in order to reduce soil degradation and to further integrate biodiversity into farm life. This makes it possible to produce a wide range of Domaine de la Ducquerie wines in all three colours, both dry and mellow as well as sparkling in a spirit of high quality terroir.

ANJOU SAUMUR, GREAT WINES OF LA DUCQUERIE

The wines of the Domaine de la Ducquerie have become a sure value among the wines of the Loire Valley and especially in the Anjou Saumur region. Indeed, the wines are known for being excellent price quality ratios, in particular their cuvées in Coteaux du Layon La Ducquerie which are very well balanced, expressive without being excessive. La Ducquerie also produces rosé wines from Loire and Anjou as well as Cabernets d’Anjou, well known for their fruity flavours, which reflect an immediate pleasure. Finally, the red wines of Anjou, based on Gamay, Cabernet Franc or other more atypical grape varieties in the region such as Syrah or Cabernet Sauvignon, are spicy and gourmet.
