Louis Roederer was commissioned by the emperor to reserve the house's best cuvée for him each year, which he greatly appreciated. To emphasize its unique character, this exceptional champagne was packaged in a flat-bottomed crystal bottle and named after this precious material, highlighting its transparency and light.
