Bollinger

Founded in Aÿ in 1829, Maison Bollinger is one of the most prestigious champagne houses. From the outset, it has stood out for its commitment to quality and innovation, while preserving traditional production methods. Today, Champagne Bollinger still embodies excellence, combining traditional know-how with modernity.

CHAMPAGNE BOLLINGER: HISTORY AND HERITAGE

The founding of the House of Bollinger was the vision of Athanase de Villermont, an aristocrat whose intuition for the wines of Champagne led to the creation of Renaudin-Bollinger & Cie. Since then, the house has survived the centuries, carried on by the Bollinger family. Ghislain de Montgolfier, great-great-grandson of the founder, took over the reins in 1994, continuing the work of excellence initiated by his predecessors. In 2008, Jérôme Philipon became the first chairman from outside the family, driving forward a programme of modernisation while maintaining Bollinger's authenticity. In 2017, Charles-Armand de Belenet finally became CEO of Bollinger.

THE BOLLINGER VINEYARDS AND CUVÉES

With 165 hectares of vines, 85% of which are classified as Grands Crus and Premiers Crus, Bollinger is one of the few houses to grow most of its own grapes. Pinot Noir, the key component of cuvées such as ‘Spécial Cuvée’, accounts for 60% of the vineyard and gives the wines their structure and complexity. Among the emblematic cuvées, ‘La Grande Année’ and ‘R.D.’ stand out for their depth and refinement, marking Bollinger's commitment to exceptional wines. And let's not forget the Champagne Bollinger Rosé, which seduces with its balance between freshness and intensity.
