Champagne Ruinart white

Champagne Ruinart Blanc de Blancs owns a very beautiful pale golden yellow colour with slight green reflections. Shinny and bright robe. Active effervescence.

The first nose is of a great intensity, with fresh fruits nose, particularly ripped citrus fruits. A seconde nose, very fine and floral with white flowers and white fruits (white peach) aromas. Suple and harmonious attack in mouth, with a lot of roundness.

Light vinosity, supported by a great freshness. Nectarines, citrus fruits aromas and a pretty minerality in the finish.

The domain

Champagne Ruinart

Ruinart was founded in 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart, making it officially the oldest Champagne house. Ruinart Champagnes are contained in superb bottles, with a unique shape that honors the first bottles of the 18th century.

RUINART, THE FIRST CHAMPAGNE HOUSE

Nicolas Ruinart's uncle was a Benedictine monk named Dom Thierry Ruinart. The idea of promoting the new "sparkling wine", whose technique was developed in Champagne, crossed his mind. This man was a visionary because once the Ruinart champagne house was created, the French court naturally welcomed these champagnes. This period was indeed marked by the Age of Enlightenment and the desire to turn to elegant, rare and tasteful products. The House of Ruinart's connections in the art world also helped it enter the limelight. In 1896, André Ruinart called upon Alfons Mucha, a renowned illustrator of the time, to create an advertisement highlighting Ruinart Champagnes.

RUINART CHAMPAGNE, THE CULT OF CHARDONNAY

Indeed, Chardonnay quickly became the emblematic grape variety of the Ruinart house. Highly appreciated for its freshness, purity and fragrance, this grape variety must be aged for 3 years for non-vintage champagnes and about 10 years for the Dom Ruinart vintage. In terms of sustainable viticulture, Ruinart is also involved since in just over 10 years the champagne house has reduced inputs in its vineyards by 40% and no longer uses herbicides. In addition, the champagne pits are used for the aging of these great champagnes. These galleries are dug in a limestone subsoil under the city of Rheims and keep an optimal and extremely important temperature in the process of elaboration of these prestigious Ruinart Champagne.

RUINART CHAMPAGNE OF RENOWN

The Ruinart House produces a range of very recognizable Champagnes, both by their bottle and by their taste. The bottles are aged on laths for 10 years or more in the chalky cellars of the Ruinart house. The classic of the house is of course the R de Ruinart, the cuvée brut. This blend of Chardonnay and Pinots is the emblem of Ruinart, it is a fruity and floral champagne with fine bubbles and an incredible length in mouth. We also find the famous Blanc de Blancs, made from 100% Chardonnay blended with a nice proportion of Premiers Crus from the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs: purity, freshness and finesse, a real pleasure. Last but not least, the 3rd of the range: the champagne Ruinart Brut Rosé. It was the very first to be created and is composed of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Round in the mouth, it is also silky and fleshy with some exotic and mentholated notes. The highlight of the show, this fabulous vintage Dom Ruinart: it is a real jewel. This cuvée is very difficult to find and will delight the amateurs of prestigious champagnes.
