Produced in the La Roquète vineyard, this Chateauneuf-du-Pape White wine captivates with its balance between richness and freshness. A blend of Roussanne, Clairette and Grenache Blanc, it benefits from meticulous vinification, with fermentation and ageing on the lees in barrels and demi-muids for around 10 months. This ageing process undeniably lends it structure, complexity and elegance, once again it's a nice wine produced by Brunier family!

The sommelier info

Clos Roquète offers a profile that is both full-bodied and delicate, characterised by a lovely freshness. The nose reveals subtle aromas of white-fleshed fruit, flowers and a hint of honey. On the palate, the attack is supple, followed by a round, harmonious texture, underpinned by a mineral backbone and an elegant, lingering finish. A sure bet within the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation.

The domain

The name «Vieux Telegraphe» was given to the 17 hectares of vines on which Claude Chappe, inventor of the optical telegraph, had installed a relay tower in 1821. Today this great name of the Rhone Valley is among the elite of the Châteauneuf du Pape and stands out for its «style» created by the Domaine Brunier.
Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe has been operated by the Brunier family since 1891, for six generations. The Brunier family operates several vineyards: Vieux Telegraphe, Telegramme, Piedlong, Pigeoulet, Mégaphone, Massaya (a small pearl in Lebanon) and many others in the Rhone Valley. Henri Brunier, in 1891, gave birth to this beautiful family history in Bédarrides. More than a century later, Domaine Vieux Telegraphe and its associated vineyards were exploited by the fifth generation of winemakers, and soon the sixth.
Domaine Brunier seeks the perfect balance between richness, structure and aromatic complexity, as evidenced by the Châteauneuf du Pape Vieux Telegraphe red and white. They are elaborated from the oldest vines of the Domaine, which offer complex, powerful and fine wines. Telegramme Red is more affordable, while roundness and flexibility. Brunier family also vinify the vintage «Le Pigeoulet» in Vin de Pays du Vaucluse and a vintage called «Megaphone» in Ventoux appellation. These are two exceptional quality/price ratios, both tender, fresh and fruity.
