The intensity of this Patrimonio Tradition Rouge is one of its strong points, but it's not the only one! Le Clos Teddi offers you a cuvée with notes of ripe red fruit, leaving a pleasant sensation of sweetness on the palate. Soft and silky on the palate, it's a delicious wine that can be enjoyed from the moment it's released, as well as after some time in the cellar. It will of course develop a slightly deeper aromatic palette, but always with a gourmet touch.

The domain
Clos Teddi is located in the famous Patrimonio appellation in the very north of the Isle of Beauty, in Saint-Florent to be precise. Created in the late 60s, Clos Teddi Patrimonio wines showcase the forgotten terroir of the Agriates for a production of Corsica wines.
CLOS TEDDI, WHEN THE DUTY TO REMEMBER IS STRONGER THAN ALL ELSE
Jo Poli, a veteran of the Algerian war, settled in Teddi, at the foot of Monte Genova (highest point in the Agriates, 421m above sea level). He then embarked on a series of projects to plant vines in the heart of the desert, an isolated area that had been neglected by human activity for many years. Clos Teddi was born of the hard work of this courageous up-and-coming winemaker. He finally achieved his goal: to obtain 40 hectares of vines in complantation: Niellucciu, Vermentinu and Sciaccarellu were given pride of place. Jo Poli died in 1991, leaving his daughter Marie-Brigitte at just 17. She had to choose between taking over the Clos Teddi or selling everything her father had spent so many years building up. Her duty to remember made her aware of the family heritage, and she threw herself wholeheartedly into the adventure. She knew nothing about vines, and it was a big challenge because there was so much to do. Learning on the job, she restored the vineyard and gradually professionalized production. After 22 years of hard work, Clos Teddi has become a recognized benchmark for the Patrimonio appellation.
BEHIND THE SCENES AT CLOS TEDDI
Today, Clos Teddi produces 120,000 bottles a year and is renowned in Corsica, on the mainland and abroad. Equipped with a state-of-the-art cellar, Clos Teddi has a stainless steel vat room, barrels and a concrete vat room, as well as stoneware jars for recently created cuvées. For many years, the vineyard has been run using a reasoned approach, although in 2020 HVE3 certification was validated, followed by the organic label in 2022. These characterful Corsican wines are made from an ideal terroir: granite arena on porous, filtering soils, where a microclimate is present. The Clos Teddi is stirred by sea breezes that purify the plots.
CLOS TEDDI RENEWS ITSELF...
Clos Teddi's emblematic wine ranges are Tradition and Grande Cuvée, one with a fresh, fruity, drinkable profile; the other with more structure due to its ageing. New cuvées have been created for 2019: Vintina, created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Clos Teddi, and Anima, to test the ageing of Vermentinu in stoneware jars. Then, in 2022, Un été dans le désert red and white were released to give a boost to existing ranges and cuvées. In 2023, the last cuvée, we named Genova: a blanc de noir with an atypical blend of 90% Nielluciu and 10% Vermentinu.
