The Domaine d’Elise produces Chablis and Petits Chablis of constant and exceptional quality. Located in Milly opposite Chablis, Frédéric Prain grows the Chardonnay to obtain wines from Chablis Elise fine and expressive.

DOMAINE ELISE, A MUST-SEE IN CHABLIS

Domaine d Elise was created in 1970, then taken over in 1982 by Frédéric Prain a former engineer who was able to create a personal style of elegant Chablis. Frédéric Prain owns a little more than 13 hectares of a single plot, from which he comes from his superb Domaine d’Elise Premier Cru Côte de Léchet. Since 2005, he has been replanting his vineyard on one third of the estate (4.5 hectares), in order to replace the 40-year-old vine plans. Domaine Elise has a clay-limestone terroir and very stony of Portlandien, suitable for the cultivation of the vines.

Frédéric Prain favours harvests later than average, with a real concern for the quality and maturity of the grapes. This allows him to offer for sale Elise Chablis with intense and fresh aromas of white fruit and dried flowers. Minerality is also present in these superb wines of Chablis Elise, sublimating the terroir that saw them born. He puts at the heart of his approach the simplicity of his methods of breeding on lees and vinification until the bottling of his Petits-Chablis and Domaine Elise Chablis in early summer.

The Elise Chablis wines are above all wines with a beautiful balance, a caressing texture and a beautiful aromatic complexity. Petits Chablis from Domaine d Elise present a beautiful vivacity, freshness and of course this slight mineral touch that we particularly like, signature touch of the appellation but also of the mastery of Frédéric Prain, both vines and chai. As for the Domaine d’Elise Chablis Premier Cru Cote de Léchet, it is an excellent wine of Chablis Elise being the only wine of the Domaine to be bred in barrels from 1 to 5 years old.
