The domain

Domaine Gentile is located in Saint Florent, in the Patrimonio appellation area, in northern Corsica. The vineyard extends over 30 hectares on which are planted Nielluccio, Malvoisie and Muscat Petits grains. Domaine Gentile is renowned for its high quality wines in Vin de Corse Patrimonio.

IN FAMILY AT THE DOMAINE GENTILE CORSICA

Dominique Gentile and his wife, both children of winegrowers, created in 1970 the Domaine Gentile thanks to their passion and their will to succeed. Over the years, they developed their vineyard and marketing. Since 1994, Jean Paul Gentile, their son who became a winemaker and oenologist, continues the work initiated by his parents and their philosophy of tradition, quality and authenticity. This man with a strong temperament continues to improve the Gentile wine estate and its wines, which are more promising every year.

THE PHILOSOPHY OF JEAN PAUL GENTILE

Jean Paul Gentile’s work can be summarized in five words: health, environment, identity, tradition and respect. In his vineyard, he combines values, ambitions and love of work while continually striving for perfection. Indeed, at Domaine Gentile, the grapes are harvested manually, no chemical fertilizers are used and yields are limited. Jean Paul Gentile also defends the typicality of the Corsican grape varieties and of his terroir. By working for the respect of the environment, his wines of the Domaine Gentile Patrimonio are today labelled organic.

THE WINES OF DOMAINE GENTILE PATRIMONIO

If the Corsican wines of Domaine Gentile are recognized at the national level but also internationally, it is in particular thanks to the emblematic Corsican vines which grow there. The Malvasia brings fruity aromas but also finesse to the Domaine Gentile White Patrimonio, while the Muscat Petits Grains is a vector of good ageing for the Muscat du Cap Corse and Rappu cuvées. Finally, the Niellucciu also considered as the noblest grape variety of the Patrimonio appellation, is at the origin of the wines Domaine Gentile Patrimonio red and pink Gentile: elegant, fresh and very aromatic wines.
