Domaine Philippe Livera Côte de Nuits-Villages offers an explosion of black fruits from the very first nose. The wine is then tasted with finesse and freshness. The complexity and richness of this red wine are further proof of the splendour of the Burgundy terroir.
The sommelier info
Damien Livera, who has been at the helm of the estate for several vintages now, devotes particular attention to the work in the vineyard and cellar to bring out the best in this noble grape variety, Pinot Noir. The wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts and vinified in the traditional way, then matured in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months.
On this Côtes de Nuits Villages by Domaine Philippe Livera, the intensity of the fruit, including blackcurrant, cherry and blackberry, is balanced to produce a wine that is both delicious and elegant. The more complex notes of tobacco and truffle also add depth and depth on the palate. A lovely wine that can be enjoyed young or after a few years' cellaring.
This wine is served with
Philippe Livera Côtes de Nuits Village should be served at 15-17°c. It is ideal as an aperitif with a platter of cold meats, pâtés and terrines. It is also recommended with beef bourguignon, roast goose or pork in sauce. If you want to pair it with a cheese, Époisses is a good choice.

Domaine des Tilleuls is located in the heart of Gevrey Chambertin. This name comes from the lime aisle that bordered the house of the Livera family, formerly built for Marguerite de Bourgogne, the latter watch over a small Clos planted in Gevrey-Chambertin Villages.
Wine has always been at the heart of the life of the Livera family since the estate has existed since 1920. It was created by Philippe Livera’s grandfather, who later took over it in 1986. Since a few vintages, he has passed the relay to his daughter Hélène and his son Damien Livera, thirty-year-old and representative of the fourth generation.
The family operates 8.20 hectares, almost exclusively in Pinot Noir (with the exception of 20 hectares of Burgundy Chardonnay) in the appellations Côtes-de-Nuits-Villages, Fixin, Chapelle-Chambertin and Gevrey-Chambertin. Damien Livera manages the Domaine des Tilleuls.
Philippe Livera, following the precepts of his grandfather, took the non-interventionist bias while remaining very attentive to the life of his ceps. This allowed him to keep centuries-old vines. Green harvests are carried out at the veraison as required, the harvest is manual and the entire Livera vineyard is in reasoned agriculture. This means minimising inputs and avoiding ploughing and weeding in order to allow the soil to live. The wines of Domaine des Tilleuls are made using traditional methods: farms in oak barrels, natural yeasts and long fermentations.
Philippe Livera focuses more on Burgundy wines of regional appellation than on the Grands Crus. Above all, he looks for wines typical of their terroirs, well Burgundy, with melted tannins and designed for guarding. The wines of the Domaine des Tilleuls are sought after for their finesse and their delicacies, they are also sparkling wines. The Livera family has worked hard to preserve wines that are identity and representative of each cultivated plot, especially that of the Evocelles in Gevrey-Chambertin, which is quite solar. Very great wines are also made on the appellations Fixin and Marsannay, certainly worthy of the 1st Crus Bourguignons.
