Champagne Gosset

Maison Gosset was founded in 1584 by Pierre Gosset in Aÿ. Back then, he was already producing still wines from his own vines. For more than four centuries, this family-run business has perpetuated a craftsmanship handed down through sixteen generations. Today, it continues to produce exceptional Gosset Champagne wines while preserving its heritage. In 1993, Gosset joined the Renaud-Cointreau group, a move that has enhanced its reputation and consolidated its prestige, thanks in particular to the creation of the Celebris vintage cuvees.

THE STYLE OF GOSSET CHAMPAGNES

Gosset's distinctive style is based on a unique winemaking method, designed to preserve the natural freshness of the fruit as well as a lovely vinous character. This approach, combined with a rigorous selection of grapes from 140 hectares of Grands Crus and Premiers Crus from all the appellation's terroirs, results in champagnes that are elegant, complex and profound. The wines mature on the lees for an average of four years, giving them roundness, complexity and an unrivalled finesse of bubbles. The famous antique bottle, emblematic of the House of Gosset since 1760, visually embodies this tradition of excellence, as it is a unique model from the family's private collection. Its creator, Albert Gosset, made it stand out from the rest at first glance with its “medallion in saltire” label.

MOTTO AND AWARDS: EXCELLENCE MADE IN GOSSET

Under the direction of Odilon de Varine and Gabrielle Malagu, both cellar managers, Champagne Gosset continues to develop its identity, building on the legacy of Jean-Pierre Mareigner, who liked to say “At Gosset, we make wine first, and the bubbles make it sublime”. For Gosset, wine takes precedence over bubbles, and this philosophy is reflected in all its cuvées. The house has also been awarded several prestigious distinctions, including the highly selective state label “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” (EPV), awarded in 2013, and the Trophée de l'Excellence Française in 2010.

EMBLEMATIC CUVÉES ELABORATED BY CHAMPAGNE GOSSET

Gosset's emblematic cuvées illustrate this unique expertise. The Grande Réserve seduces with its richness and roundness, while the Grand Rosé combines liveliness and depth with fruity aromas of lovely complexity. The remarkably precise Blanc de Blancs is the quintessence of the house's non-vintage wines. Finally, the Celebris range, the jewel in the crown of Maison Gosset, offers exceptional vintage champagnes of an even higher standard...
