La Sirène de Giscours is the second wine of the famous Château Giscours. The nose is bewitching, with notes of ripe red and black fruits combined with wood and chocolate. The wine is round, generous and supple on the palate, while the tannins are smooth and silky. The finish is slightly spicy, a delight. A great success in the Margaux appellation.

The domain

Giscours has a rich history dating back to very ancient fourteenth century. A defensive dungeon while overlooking a wild and inhospitable countryside. In 1552, Pierre Lhomme, wealthy Bordeaux draper bought the noble house of "Guyscoutz" formed around a vast estate and planted the first vines all. The wine adventure was running and the successors of our rich merchant knew in turn make their contribution to this wonderful building. It is in the nineteenth century, under the impetus of the Promis, Pescatore and other Cruse of Giscours that puts on its finery: transformation of the castle in neoclassical palace, development of a park with rare species by the landscape architect Eugene Bülher, modernization of production tools with the construction of huge farm buildings, including the famous "Ferme Suzanne" ... The history of Giscours is exciting and countless anecdotes ... In 1995, Eric Albada Jelgersma, a man of Dutch business resumed operations and undertakes a meticulous restoration of the vineyard and building renovation to restore the nobility befitting the Third Grand Cru Classé 1855.
