The nose of this Magnum Domaine Mayard Côtes-du-Rhône reveals a generous aromatic profile blending black cherry, blackberry, raspberry and plum, accompanied by notes of pepper, liquorice and garrigue. With aeration, hints of cocoa and sweet spices round off this warm bouquet.
On the palate, it is full-bodied, fruity and perfectly balanced. The tannins are supple and silky, offering a pleasant texture that highlights the freshness of the fruit. The finish, lingering and spicy, leaves a delightful impression of richness.
Ageing takes place mainly in concrete and stainless steel vats to preserve the freshness, richness and expression of the grape varieties, with very limited or no oak ageing depending on the vintage.
