Domaine
In 1978, Henri and Catherine de Saint-Victor acquired the Chateau de Pibarnon and carried out a titanic work. For nearly 20 years, Domaine de Pibarnon has been presided over by Eric de Saint Victor. The domaine has risen to a level of perfection that goes far beyond the scope of its name. Planted in terraces at an altitude of 300 meters, the vineyards of Chateau Pibarnon enjoy a micro-climate and a real capacity to keep water. As a result, Pibarnon vines are continuously irrigated thanks to the limestone soils that prevent erosion of the plots and keep the water like sponges.
Château de Pibarnon offers wines with the power, the sharpness and the elegance. These Bandol wines are developed for the greater part with Mourvèdre, vine king. The vineyard extends over about fifty hectares and wines are present in France but also abroad. This geologic particularity gives fine and squeezy tannins, complexe and powerful bouquets, keeping elegance, balance and delicacy.
