The domain

Domaine de l'Hortus, founded by Jean Orliac in the 1970s, is located in the heart of the Pic Saint-Loup appellation in Languedoc. Benefiting from an exceptional terroir between Pic Saint-Loup and l'Hortus, with limestone soils and a Mediterranean climate, it produces wines of great finesse. Main grape varieties include Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre for reds, and Chardonnay and Viognier for whites. Its flagship cuvées, Grande Cuvée Rouge and Grande Cuvée Blanc, are renowned for their elegance and complexity, while Bergerie de l'Hortus offers more accessible wines.
