Founded in 1849, Pol Roger Champagne House is now run by the fifth generation of the family, who look after 92 hectares of vineyards. Each generation has perpetuated the family heritage by maintaining the quality of the champagnes and expanding the business. Winston Churchill, a loyal customer of the house since 1908, was a great lover of Pol Roger champagnes. His meeting with Odette Pol-Roger, granddaughter of Richard Wallace, in 1944 at a dinner at the British Embassy in Paris, strengthened the ties between the Churchill and Pol Roger families. Known for its prolonged ageing process, between 4 and 10 years in its historic cellars in Épernay, Pol Roger stands out with its Brut Réserve cuvée, a blend of the region's three emblematic grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay.
