The richness of Châteauneuf-du-Pape Domaine Saint Patrice lies in the diversity of its terroirs: white, red and yellow clays, rolled pebbles and limestone.
The blend is made from Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah grapes harvested whole (30% to 60% depending on the variety), then macerated and fermented in concrete vats with gentle infusion of the pomace for 5 weeks.
Aging lasts 14 months in concrete vats, foudres, demi-muids and French oak barrels, followed by bottling in spring and a year's rest in the cellar before sale.

The domain
Domaine Saint Patrice is an essential part of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in the heart of the southern Rhône Valley. Heir to an ancestral know-how, this family estate produces exceptional red wines, renowned for their finesse, intensity and authenticity. With its respect for the terroir and exacting vinification standards, it is the perfect embodiment of the elegance of great Rhône wines.
Situated in the prestigious Saint-Patrice area, the estate boasts a unique terroir, including Clos Saint Patrice, a 1.8 hectare monopole right in the centre of the village.
This vineyard benefits from rare limestone soil, ideal exposure and a perfect microclimate, all of which allow the grapes to reach optimum ripeness. The old vines of Grenache and Mourvèdre, produced by massal selection, produce concentrated grapes that are a faithful reflection of their origin.
Domaine Saint Patrice adopts sustainable, traditional viticulture, without the use of chemical weedkillers or aggressive inputs. The soil is worked by hand, respecting biodiversity and microbial life. This approach ensures that the soil is deeply rooted, guaranteeing the complexity and minerality of the wines. There is minimal intervention in the cellar, to allow the full potential of the vintage and terroir to express itself.
Domaine Saint Patrice Châteauneuf-du-Pape red wines are seductive because of their controlled freshness, generosity and depth. These are wines that are ready to drink, but also suitable for ageing. Clos Saint Patrice, the estate's flagship cuvée, is produced in very limited quantities. It rivals some of the greatest names in the appellation and is a benchmark among Châteauneuf-du-Pape's ‘vins d'auteur’.
