The sommelier Info
Domaine Alain Chabanon Esprit de Fontcaude Red is the symbolic vintage of the Domain because it is the most represented in term of production and also the oldest. The spirit such as it was wished by the wine grower, finds itself in the tasting: it is the wine which allies rigor and exuberance, rigidity and delicacy. Because of the vines which compose it, tannins are marked but without being omnipresent. A wine of meetings, a wine of parties.

Domaine Alain Chabanon was created in 1992 in Languedoc. These 17 ha of vineyards are situated on 5 municipalities (Jonquières, St André, Lagamas, St Saturnin and Montpeyroux). This arrangement allows to take advantage of numerous microclimates and of various grounds. In 2002, he dashes into the biological culture with a certification Ecocert then, a Biodynamic certification Demeter in 2011.
Over the years, Domaine Alain Chabanon has become a staple of Languedoc. Alain Chabanon succeeded in producing wines with impressive ageing potential. The ideal layout of the domaine allows him to use microclimates and different types of soils to his advantage. Since the release of the first vintage in 1992, Domaine Chabanon has been producing great wines in Languedoc, especially thanks to the old vines purchased in Montpeyroux. Indeed, Alain Chabanon left nothing to chance and went directly towards the elaboration of high-end vintages.
