Domaine Anne Gros Tollot Minervois Les Fontanilles red is a racy and powerful wine but tender and tasty. For a pleasure between the velvety and the farm, between the candied fruit and the delicate pink that the spices revive.
A very nice blend of Carignan, Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah for a fine, structured and spicy wine.
The sommelier info
4 grape varieties make up this cuvée Les Fontanilles on soils dominated by Sandstones of Assignan facing north and west. These small enclosures surrounded by garrigues, pines, thyms, rosemaries, cysts shelter:
Each variety completes and brings with it its characters. One, the fruit and the freshness, the other the sweetness of the mouth, the other the depth and the length, the other the distinction and the energy... (I let you guess which ones).
A vibrating wine!
Ageing: 50 % barrels and 50 % stainless steel tanks
This wine is served with
Domaine Anne Gros Tollot Minervois Les Fontanilles Red is to be served between 16°c and 18°c and to decant between 1h and 2h before tasting. To enjoy on red meats in sauce as grilled. Daubes, civets, game will appreciate the company of this great Languedoc. It is a classic “Cuvée Minervoise” where the blending of grape varieties complements wonderfully well. The maturity and precision of the black fruits balance a beautiful freshness. The Syrahs and Carignans raised in barrels brought some distinction. It is a nice wine of aperitif and meals on grilled meats or in sauces.

ANNE GROS AND JEAN PAUL TOLLOT
Anne Gros, Burgundy winemaker, assisted by her husband Jean Paul Tollot, work 18 hectares at the border of Minervois and Saint Chinian.
GROS TOLLOT A SHOCK ASSOCIATION
When a renowned Burgundy winemaker, Anne Gros, helped by her husband Jean-Paul Tollot make the big difference with the terroirs languedocians and titilate Syrah, grenache and other carignan, this gives the Domaine Anne Gros and Jean-Paul Tollot. A domain that advances the reputation of the Appellation. Attentive to the cultivation of the vine and the sensitivity of each variety, these two exceptional winegrowers brilliantly succeed in singular cuvées.
THEIR TERROIRS
The Domaine is located in the Minervois and more precisely in the Causse. This wine-growing zone of the Minervois is mainly marked by its altitude which exceeds 200 m to reach almost 500 m. The result is lower night temperatures in Minervois and slower thermal warming in spring. There is more rainfall and more regular rainfall than all of Minervois.
Anne Gros and Jean Paul Tollot exploit 3 terroirs: Coast of brian, Minervois and Minervois Cazelles.IDENTITY WINES
