Les Bastides d’Alquier comes from the schist slopes of Faugères, with old massal-selection Syrah playing a central role alongside Grenache and Mourvèdre. After destemming, cold maceration and extended vatting, the wine is aged for 18 months in large oak foudres and Burgundy barrels. Dark fruit, rockrose, cinnamon and smoky nuances shape a deep, silky palate, lifted by the freshness of schist and a lingering garrigue finish.

From 1910, the grandfather and the father of Jean Michel Alquier, in 1955, worked on a restructuring to plant the first ones syrahs to Faugères in 1962.
