Domaine Camp del Mas is located in La Boissière, a village close to the foothills of the Larzac mountains. With its vineyards nestling at altitude, Camp del Mas is undoubtedly one of the Languedoc's stars in the making.
CAMP DEL MAS, A NEW WINE ESTATE IN THE LANGUEDOC
The origins of the name Camp del Mas (also known as ‘fields of the mas’) come from the location of the wine estate, which was once a crossing point for the transhumance routes. The founders of Domaine Camp del Mas, Julien Monclus and his partner Mélanie, both come from the the wine industry. Julien, a 4-generation descendant of winegrowers, has also been helping in the vineyards by his father, having gained experience with winemaker friends. Since 2016, their philosophy is to showcase the terroir of their region through Camp del Mas wines.
DOMAINE CAMP DEL MAS, RESPECTING NATURE
Domaine Camp del Mas is committed to respecting the plant and its environment, which is why
all work in the vineyards is carried out by hand. Only sulphur and copper are used, as well as biocontrol products, In addition, ploughing and grassing are also practised on these limestone and flint terroirs. The production of Camp del Mas wines is deliberately confidential in order to preserve a certain authenticity and a strong terroir identity. Domaine Camp del Mas offers three wines, Gravis, Estelas in red and Cantaluz in white. The Gravis cuvée is a 100% Syrah from two separate plots: the first brings freshness, while the second gives more finesse to this finesse to this single varietal. Camp del Mas Cantaluz is a 100% Chardonnay cuvée planted in a valley. Freshness and minerality are the hallmarks of this Languedoc white. Camp del Mas draws its inspiration from the Burgundy tradition for its cuvées, which turn out to be real little nuggets.
