The domain

Situated at an altitude of over 1000 metres in Chavanay, Domaine du Monteillet has a magnificent view over the Rhône. It covers 38 hectares, 17 of which are in a single block, and is part of four major appellations: Saint Joseph, Condrieu, Cornas and Côte Rôtie. Stéphane Montez has been running the family estate since 1997, taking over from his father after two years' training abroad. Les Hauts du Monteillet Rouge is a 100% Syrah that is both delicious and crisp, with spicy, floral aromas and a delicate hint of violets.
