L’Unique Blanc combines equal parts Clairette Blanche and Vermentino grown on silty soils composed of clay, sand and silt close to the Rhône. Following manual harvesting and direct pressing, temperature-controlled fermentation lasts fifteen to twenty days before six months of ageing in stainless steel, preserving the wine’s pure and vibrant character. Citrus, fresh peach and subtle melon notes lead to a lively, balanced palate that is expressive, refreshing and persistent.
The sommelier info
The aromatic profile is crisp and fresh, dominated by citrus notes complemented by peach and delicate hints of melon. The overall impression remains very pure, with no woody influence, and a character that is immediately approachable.
On the palate, it is juicy and lively, with a medium-bodied texture that retains plenty of vibrancy. The Clairette and Vermentino varieties create a particularly pleasant balance between aromatic intensity and freshness, while a pronounced acidity extends the tasting experience. The finish remains clean, fruity, and dynamic.
This wine is served with
Famille Pierre Usseglio L’Unique Blanc pairs beautifully with sea bream ceviche, grilled prawns, red mullet, plancha-grilled squid or fresh goat’s cheese with herbs; serve at around 9 to 11°C without decanting, allowing it to warm slightly in the glass.

The domain
Based in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine Pierre Usseglio & Fils is a family estate whose history began in 1948, when Francis Usseglio settled in the appellation. His son Pierre subsequently developed the domaine, whose story is now being continued by the family's new generation. Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and other traditional Southern Rhône varieties produce wines combining depth, balance and a strong sense of terroir, both in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and across the family's other appellations.
