Le Clos des Fées from Domaine du Clos des Fées comes from old plots of Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Carignan.
The ageing takes place in barrels for 18 months after the most rigorous work in the vineyard and in the winemaking, resulting in a small marvel signed by Hervé Bizeul.

Le Clos des Fées is a treat for lovers of fine tannin, indeed the grain is incredibly supple. And yet the weft is dense and powerful.

Domaine

Domaine du Clos des Fées was created in 1998 by Hervé Bizeul and his wife Claudine. Former wine steward and gastronomic critic, Hervé Bizeul exercised several jobs around the wine before becoming producing. Noticed from the first harvest, Clos des Fées wines' know immediately a lightning success. Always developed in the garage of their house of Vingrau, tiny village nested in the most mountainous zone of the Roussillon vineyard, wines, of the simplest in the most sophisticated, are exported today all over the world. Hervé Bizeul from Clos des fées has also become the pioneer of “reality viticulture”, which he has promoted on his blog since the 1990s. Domaine du Clos des Fées currently includes about thirty hectares in Côtes du Roussillon, Côtes du Roussillon Villages and Vin de Pays des Côtes Catalanes appellations. The clay-limestone soils of the Clos des Fées are partly made up of steep terraces and exploited in reasoned viticulture. The vintages from Domaine du Clos des Fées are numerous and generally selected on very distinct parcels. Both colors exist in white wine and red wine.
