This ‘La Croix des Batailles’ cuvée from Ganevat is made from Gamay grapes grown on granite soils and Chardonnay grapes from the Jura.

It was vinified in truncated cone-shaped vats, undergoing cool semi-carbonic maceration (12–14°C), naturally without pumping over or punching down, using indigenous yeasts, and is unfiltered with no added SO2.

Ganevat La Croix des Batailles is a wine of great suppleness, with silky tannins complementing rich, fresh red fruit.

This wine must be decanted for a long time or allowed to breathe, as it does have a slight effervescence. This will, of course, subside once opened.
