The sommelier Info
This local white Chichée Chablis of Patrick Piuze 2012 possesses a nose held enough by citrus fruits and by white fruits with a mineral note. We find this mineral character in mouth which gives a very beautiful structure to the wine and an attractive shape. The expression remains held enough but the sharpness of this wine is particularly attractive.
Quebecker of origin, Patrick PIUZE meets Marc Chapoutier with his majority and grave in the world of the wine. He will join Olivier Leflaive to Puligny and will convert into wine his cuverie of Chablis. Patrick PIUZE makes the most important decision of his life by creating his own Trade house on July 1st, 2008, launching the challenge to settle down only. The main purpose of Patrick Piuze is to make the difference between wine grower's jobs and to vinificateur, because not being an owner of its vines, it has a role of adviser with the wine growers, so creating a reliable climate and a long-term partnership. This way of functioning allows him to select the most beautiful plots of land of the vineyard Chablisien, conceived mainly by old vines, and to collect grapes of very high quality.
Proceeding mainly to purchases of grapes, he grants to the trade a range going from Chablis, in Grand Crus via a range of eleven Premier Crus. Through his wines, Patrick PIUZE is always eager to reveal the real character of Chablis, with his soils and his climates so different.
