Chateau Romanin Grand Vin Red is sumptuous, its complexity can be felt directly on the nose with cherry, blackberry but also blueberry and strawberry. Smoky, humus and leather notes as well as spices complement each other. The mouth is supple, generous and structured. We discover a nice length with a mineral and fresh touch on the finish. A real favorite!

CHATEAU ROMANIN
Chateau Romanin wine quickly made its place among the great names of Provence and the Alpilles thanks to its quality wines. The 50 hectares of Romanin vineyard is worked in biodynamics.
A RICH HISTORY AT CHÂTEAU ROMANIN
It all began in 2006, while Anne-Marie and Jean-Louis Charmolüe fell under the charm of Château Romanin. This property nestled in the heart of the Alpilles has existed for centuries since it houses ruins of the Templars castle. Their ambition has always been to produce wines that are balanced, generous and deep in the image of the terroir of Romanin. 2018 begins with the death of Jean-Louis Charmolüe, who used to say that “The great estates always have a history.” Chateau Romanin and Provence viticulture lost a great man. Today, Anne-Marie has gone to join her husband and Romanin continues today its quest for wines of excellence.
ROMANIN, THE WILL TO DIVERSIFY THEIR WINES
The beginnings of Château Romanin were marked by the majority production of red wines, however, after its acquisition by Anne-Marie and Jean-Louis, production diversified and balanced to also produce white and rosé wines, on the Alpilles terroir. Plots were grubbed up and replanted to make the best of each variety, including Cabernet-Sauvignon, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Counoise for red and rosé wines, which account for 45 % and 40 % of production, respectively. The Clairette and the Grenache are added to the Roussanne and Rolle already present in order to offer white Romanin wines in appellation Les Baux-de-Provence.
WINE CHATEAU ROMANIN, CREATED IN THE HEART OF THE ALPILLES
Château Romanin has several ranges of wines, its exceptional cuvée Le Cœur is produced only during the great vintages, the first dating back to 1998. The cuvée Grand Vin is produced in the three colours in appellation Les Baux-de-Provence and requires a more or less long ageing in lightnings and barrels or on lees, which gives it a very fineness and complexity. Chateau Romanin La Chapelle, on the same appellation, comes from young vines and is a generous wine while remaining elegant. Finally, Romanin produces a cuvée full of freshness in IGP Alpilles in red, rosé and white that encourages more conviviality and delicacies.
