The domain
Domaine du Paternel was founded in 1943 by the Santini family, who soon owned some of the most prestigious land in the Cassis appellation. The first bottle was sold in 1951, and the Paternel was relaunched a few years later by Jean-Pierre Santini and his wife. The second generation also works in the cellar and in the vineyard, with a common passion for wine. The Paternel estate produces wines under three appellations: Cassis, Côtes-de-Provence and Bandol, although the estate is best known for its Cassis wines. Indeed, their parcels cover 50 hectares, or about a quarter of the appellation. As a result, this region is rapidly becoming an important part of Provence. The Santini family remains committed to their values and to the natural management of the vineyard: no pesticides, as much traditional work as possible... We invite you to try the Magnum of Paternel Rosé Côtes-de-Provence to learn the secrets of these fantastic wines of Provence!
