Patrick Piuze's Chablis Grand Cru Bougros comes from a confidential 0.70ha parcel, planted between 1665 and 1996. These are old Chardonnay vines rooted in Kimmeridgian soil, i.e. limestone and clay.
The very essence of this great wine comes from its great terroir!
Patrick Piuze's Chablis Grand Cru Bougros 2022 has a highly perfumed nose, opening with citrus notes and a lovely iodine finish. The palate is lively and expressive, with apple and lemon aromas. The minerality continues through to a long, subtle finish.
In its youth, this Grand Cru de Chablis reveals its tasty beginnings, while its complexity is revealed with age.
This wine is the result of a 3-month alcoholic fermentation in barrels of several wines.

The domain
Patrick PIUZE meets Marc Chapoutier by his majority and falls into the world of wine. He will join Olivier Leflaive in Puligny and vinify his Chablis winery. Patrick PIUZE made the most important decision of his life by creating his own Trading House on July 1, 2008, challenging himself to settle on his own.
Patrick Piuze’s main goal is to differentiate between winegrowers and winemakers, because he is not the owner of his vineyards and has a role of advisor to winemakers, thus creating a climate of trust and a long-term partnership. This mode of operation allows it to select the most beautiful parcels of the Chablisien vineyard, designed mainly of old vines, and to harvest grapes of very high quality. Patrick Piuze harvested the plots he chose.
Mainly buying grapes, he concedes a range from Chablis, Chablis Grand Cru to a range of eleven Chablis Premier Cru. Through his wines, Patrick PIUZE is always committed to revealing the true character of Chablis, with its terroirs and climates so different. Chardonnay is a formidable transmitter of the diversity of this basement. The terroirs all produce different wines that is why we specify the provenance on our labels, examples: Chablis terroir of Courgis, Chablis Premier cru les Vaillons “les Minots”...
