RASTEAU

Rasteau is a wine AOC produces on the municipalities of Cairanne, Rasteau and Sablet, in Vaucluse in Rhone Valley. For red wine, only the municipality of Rasteau has the right to produce it. Grenache is the main vine of the red, often assisted by Mourvèdre and by Syrah. As for the natural sweet wine, for the aromas very pronounced by candied or cooked fruits, it is Grenache which occupies a dominating part there. The quality of the vineyard of Rasteau allows to produce still wines. The Domaine Beaurenard is the key vineyard of the naming Rasteau.
