Chateau Barbanau Clos Valbruyère is produced from clay-limestone soil in the Cassis appellation.
The cultivation is biodynamic, the grapes are harvested by hand, aged on fine lees and no animal-based inputs are used, so those who follow a vegan diet can enjoy this Cassis wine without worry.

The Cassis White from Clos Valbruyère is structured, smooth and full-bodied. This white Chateau Barbanau is also very rounded, with floral notes and exotic fruit.
We highly recommend it and will be having another glass!

The domain
Today Barbanau is run by Sophie and her husband Didier. The story begins in 1889 when Sophie’s back, Emile Bodin creates the Clos Val Bruyere. One hundred years later, in 1989, Sophie inherited Val Bruyere and at the same time bought the Château Barbanau. Didier her husband, a trained oenologist and agronomist, arrived 10 years later. Today it is Juliette’s turn to join Domaine Barbanau is the first Domaine in Cassis to have received an Organic Certification, in 2005. No chemical has been used since 1995 and the Domaine’s credo is more than ever "the spirit of nature".
Two wonderful vintages in Cassis appellation are produced with Marsanne, Clairette, Ugni-blanc and Sauvignon: Clos Val Bruyere and Kalahari. But it is also 23 hectares in one piece in Côtes de Provence at Roquefort La Bedoule. On this terroir, the vintage La Girafe verte rosé in Biodynamics.
