The domain

Chateau Saint Maur is a magnificent historic Domaine de Provence. Composed of a hundred hectares it is located in Cogolin in the golf of Saint Tropez. Chateau St Maur is an area concerned to pass on its know-how and to value its terroir, a sure guarantee of excellence.

Domaine Saint Maur is one of the 18 Chateaux de Provence classified in Cru Classé. It takes its name from an ancient monastery that was on the land of the property. Only a chapel is still present at this place. Château Saint-Maur covers almost 100 hectares of vines on the foothills of the Massif des Maures including 75 hectares in PDO Côtes de Provence and 23 hectares in IGP Vin de Pays du Var. On the 75 hectares, the estate has a small jewel of 14 hectares: the Clos de Capelune. The Chai du Chateau St Maur is a work of art with state-of-the-art technology.

Roger Zannier, a wine lover and owner of Quinta do Pessegueiro in Portugal, bought Chateau Saint Maur in 2011. Roger Zannier, entrepreneur in the soul, quickly guided the Chateau Saint Maur team towards a very qualitative production. In 2015, he entrusted the technical management to Patrick Galliano. The 2016 vintage was very successful, followed closely by the 2017 vintage. That same year, Amélie Rimbaud, an oenologist working at the Domaines Ott before.

Chateau Saint Maur produces quality Provence wines, refined whites, balanced rosés and complex reds. Saint-M cuvées are wines of immediate and easy pleasure. The heart of the range is the Cuvée Excellence, true DNA of Domaine Saint Maur. The wines are fruity and elegant and the bottle is remarkable for its original shape and elegance. The high-end cuvée is called Clos de Capelune from a unique plot on clay-limestone soil rich in shale and quartz. Here too, the look of the bottle is iconic and the wine is very elegant, powerful while keeping a beautiful freshness.
