Chateau Sainte Marguerite, located in the coastal town of La Londe-les-Maures in the French region of Provence, is home to a vineyard of nearly 170 hectares. Although the land has been farmed since ancient times, concert pianist André Chevillon created the current estate in 1929. Admirers of the property, the Fayard family finally made the decision to buy it in 1977. Pernod Ricard has been investing in the business since 2021 and has made some changes. This property has been certified organic since 2000 and vegan since 2015. In fact, it was one of the first to ensure that no animal inputs were introduced into the wine. Sainte-Marguerite has been awarded the complementary geographical denomination Côtes-de-Provence La Londe because the Fayards leave nothing to chance. This appellation guarantees a unique landscape since four different types of soil are found in the commune of La Londe. This is why the Château Ste Marguerite wine ranges - Symphonie, composed of neighboring and estate plots, and Fantastique, composed of estate plots only - are of high quality.
